What is Kokomi?
Online educational platforms to learn Japanese language and Japanese culture. The platform has complete language courses with lessons, exercises and tests for learning autonomously."
How do the courses work?
You can choose the course of your preference or the complete package through an annual subscription, each course will have loaded the information you need to learn Japanese language and Japanese culture.
Which tools does the platform have?
Accounts with competitions per team and live classes every Saturday with your tutor. You have lessons in different levels, more than 800 context exercises, reading comprehension, pronunciation, listening and grammar. A comprehensive input-based tool to learn new vocabulary.
Do I need a credit card to pay for my subscription?
You can use a credit card and paypal as well. Additionally, in some countries such as Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica and Ecuador you can use traditional banks and payment applications too.
How long does it take for me to learn the basics an get certified?
The average time for our students is one year. Despite this, you can do it faster or slower, it depends on your studying pace.
Do you give your students certificates?
We can certify mastery of the platform levels, thanks to the recognition of the Colombian Secretary of Education. Despite this, the international certification must be issued by an international entity. We can prepare and guide you in its presentation.
What do I need to go studying or working in Japan?
In order to apply for the labor and educational agreements that we have, you must, first have a minimum level of Japanese. If you complete and master the K1 and K2 level and become certified in the JLPT, you can participate for these places
How long does the course take?
The average time for a student to obtain a certification at the basic level is one year. Depending on your pace, you may achieve it in less time. However, the platform is designed for you to progress at your own pace
When can I start?
Kokomi is available for anyone from the first second you buay the subscription. Once you subscribe, you can start studying.
How can I pay?
In the Virtual Store of Kokomi S.A.S you can make your payment with the means enabled for this purpose. According to the payment options chosen by the trade, you can pay through Visa, American Express, Diners and Mastercard and accounts debit savings and PSE.
How much time does my user remain active in the platform?
Your user remains active during the year that your subscription covers.
What am I going to learn?
You will learn to understand, speak and write the language in a basic parameter. You will have an approach to the culture and know about life in Japan
Does Kokomi manage levels?
Our platform is not structured by levels.
How much time should I spend studying?
Our classes are designed so that you can complete them in 15 minutes or less. The recommendation is to study for as many days as possible.Even if it's only 15 minutes per day.
If I'm a beginner, can I study in Kokomi?
You can start from 0.Our methodology is designed to help students with no previous knowledge.
What do I need so I can study?
It has not previous requirements. We recommend you to advance in order by modules. This way, you will understand the course easilly and entirely. Remember that it is a course that requires your completely autonomous commitment
Do you handle evaluation criteria that allows me to know if I'm having a good learning process?
You have at your disposal practices with unlimited exercises and attempts that will allow you to test your knowledge, correct and self -evaluate your learning process
Does Kokomi give me the level to present an international exam?
You will get basic knowledge that will allow you to validate your skills before a certified entity or a governemt institution of your country.
Do I need to acquire additional books, outside the material on the platform?
On the platform you will be provided with the material that you require per module, based on our methodology.
Is there any limit date to pay the annual subscription?
No, you can perform both inscriptions and renovations anytime you prefer
Can the purchase be completed using my name but another person be the beneficiary of the course?
Yes, keep in mind that by filling out the registration form to access the platform you must write the email of the student that will take the course, not the email of the person who is making the payment.
Do I need school supplies for the classes?
We recommend you use for your notes: Notebook, black and red pens and if is possible do not use eraser or liquid paper.
What payment methods does Kokomi accept?
Payments are 100% online, you can do them using PSE or credit card.
What is Placetopay?
Placetopay is the electronic payments platform that Kokomi S.A.S uses to process the transactions generated in the virtual store with the forms of payment enabled for this purpose.
Is it safe to enter my bank data on this website?
To protect your data Kokomi S.A.S delegates in Placetopay the capture of sensitive information. Our payment platform meets the highest standards required by the International PCI Safety DSS standard in credit card transactions. It also has the SSL security certificate issued by Geotrust and the constant monitoring of McAFEE Secure and the electronic message firm with Certicámara.
What does my payment cover?
Annual subscription, access to the new content during the subscription year. Access to new functionalities during the year of subscription (community options, new tools, among other periodic changes).
Can I make the payment any day and at any time?
Yes, in Kokomi S.A.S you can make your online purchases 7 days a week, 24 hours a day at just one click away.
Can I change the payment method?
If you have not finished your payment yet, you can return to the initial step and choose the payment method you prefer. Once the purchase is finished, it is not possible to change the payment method.
Does paying electronically have any additional cost for me as a buyer?
No, electronic payments made through Placetopay do not generate additional costs for the buyer.
What should I do if my transaction did not conclude?
First, check if a confirmation email arrived from the transaction to the email account registered at the time of paying, if you have not received it, you must contact servicioalcliente@kokomi.io to confirm the status of the transaction.
What should I do if I did not receive the proof of payment?
If you do not receive it, you can contact servicioalcliente@kokomi.io, the line (+573150575606)) or the email adress comercio@comercio.com to ask them to send it again to the same email registered at the payment moment.
Do you offer live classes?
For now you will be able to access your guided classes through the different videos and the content available on the platform.
Is Kokomi a certificate Japanese course?
Kokomi provides you basic knowledge about Japanese language and culture. During this phase Kokomi wont issue any certificate.
Are all teachers in Kokomi native?
Our team is conformed by qualified and certified teachers, 70% are natives. They come from different backgrounds and have different nationalities.
If I already know something about Japanese, is Kokomi for me?
Sure, Kokomi is an excelent option to practice your target language, improve the skills you need and reach the level you are aiming to.
Can I take as many classes as I want?
Yes, access is free choice.
How often do you add content to the platform?
Every three months on average, you will find new content.
After completing a specific topic, can I solve my doubts with a teacher?
Yes, we will soon have a community forum where you will be able to share your questions and receive support.
How much time do I need to finish the course?
The completion time depends on you and the constancy you have during your learning process.
Do I receive a certificate each time I finish a course?
Our courses are free and autonomous, we do not deliver certificates.
If I have the knowledge, can I present a qualifying test?
Kokomi does not offer qualifying tests.
Are there any agreements or alliances to apply for discounts?
No, however, we invite you to follow us in the following social networks where we will eventually offer discounts that you can access.
